Hello! I'm a current second-year undergraduate student at the University of Virginia, majoring in Computer Science (still trying to figure out a possible double major). I'm currently the president of Machine Learning @ UVA, a undergraduate student initiative interested in machine learning, AI, and how novel technologies can benefit society. I'm also very passionate about building safe AI systems for tomorrow, and am currently helping the Virginia AI Security Initiative with fieldbuidling & technical research.
I was previously a Research Fellow at the Virginia Initiative on Cosmic Origins (VICO), where I conducted machine learning research on exoplanet detection. I have also previously worked as a Software Engineer at Credence, and will be interning as a Quantitative Developer at Marshall Wace this Summer.
I am currently working under Dr. Yu Meng and Xinyu Zhu on LLM post-training and investigating the effect of various inference-time scaling algorithms on alignment. I am also working on independent technical research projects related to evaluating multi-agent systems and building shutdownable RL algorithms.
